Editorial Policy
How our guides are researched, written, reviewed, and kept current.
This Editorial Policy explains how HaulVolt plans, writes, reviews, and maintains its guides. We publish it because trust should be earned in the open.
Who writes for us
Our guides are written and reviewed in-house by people with hands-on automotive experience, led by an ASE-Certified Master Technician who has calibrated cameras and radar in real service bays. We do not accept anonymous guest posts or spun content.
How we research
Each guide starts with a real driver question. We combine first-hand shop experience with manufacturer procedures and reputable safety sources, then write in plain language a beginner can follow. Where we cite a fact, we link to a credible source so you can check it yourself.
Accuracy and corrections
We aim to be right, and when we are not, we fix it quickly and visibly. If you spot an error, email [email protected]. Substantive corrections are updated in the guide, and the revision date is refreshed so you know the content is current.
Independence
Our recommendations are never for sale. No manufacturer, dealer, or repair chain can pay to change what we say. If a guide ever contains an affiliate link, it is disclosed clearly and never changes our honest assessment. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Updates and maintenance
Vehicles and software change, so our guides are living documents. We review popular articles regularly and revise them as procedures evolve. The publish and updated dates on each guide reflect this ongoing maintenance.
Advertising
We may display advertising to support our work. Ads are kept separate from editorial content, and advertisers have no influence over what we publish or how we cover a topic.
